Who we are

BabyMemory AI ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application designed to help parents track and understand their baby's health and development. We are operated by the BabyMemory AI team and can be reached at hello@babymemory.in.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: your email address and encrypted password
• Baby profile: baby's name, date of birth, and gender
• Health logs: feeding records, sleep sessions, weight and height measurements, vaccination records, cry logs, diaper logs, medicine records, and doctor visit notes
• AI conversation history: questions you ask BabyBrain and its responses
• Milestones and memories: entries you add to the Baby Book

We do not collect location data, contacts, camera access, or any device sensor data.

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to provide BabyMemory AI's features:

• To power BabyBrain's AI responses, your recent logs are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. This gives the AI context about your specific baby — not a generic baby.
• To detect patterns in sleep, feeding, and growth and surface them as insights
• To maintain your baby's vaccination calendar against the IAP schedule
• To store your Baby Book entries and milestones

Your baby's data is used only for your baby. It is not used to train shared AI models or compared across users.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the service:

• Anthropic (Claude API): your recent baby logs are sent to Anthropic to generate AI responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We do not send identifying information (your email or full name) to Anthropic.
• YourMemory: our semantic memory service, which stores anonymised summaries of your baby's logs as AI-readable memories. Data is stored using a unique baby identifier — no name or email is shared. YourMemory is used solely to make BabyBrain's responses more accurate over time.
• Supabase: our database provider, where all your data is stored securely. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified.
• Railway: our backend server infrastructure.

We do not share your data with advertisers, analytics platforms, data brokers, or any other third parties.

Data visible to family members

Your baby's data is private to your account. Family members — including grandparents or your partner — cannot see your data unless you physically share your phone or account credentials with them. We do not offer family sharing or multi-user access at this time.

How long we keep your data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data — including baby profiles, logs, chat history, and milestones — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

How to delete your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Alternatively, email us at hello@babymemory.in and we will delete your account within 7 days.

Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Our database (Supabase) uses row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data. Data is also encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption — Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified.

Compliance with Indian law

BabyMemory AI complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). As a Data Fiduciary handling personal data of Indian residents, we:

• Collect only the data necessary for the stated purpose
• Process data only with the user's explicit consent (obtained at account creation)
• Provide the ability to withdraw consent and permanently delete all data at any time
• Do not transfer your data outside India except to our infrastructure providers (Anthropic Claude API and Supabase), who handle it under adequate data protection agreements

Children's privacy

BabyMemory AI is designed for parents, not children. The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The baby data collected (name, DOB, health logs) is entered by the parent and belongs to the parent's account.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
